DOCTRINAL STATEMENT & CHRISTIAN STANDARDS:

ATS affirms:

  1. The Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, eternally reliable, and the basis for faith and practice.
  2. That there is one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
  4. The present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We affirm the fullness of the Holy Spirit as the empowerment of the Christian for witness and service.
  5. That salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
  6. The resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved to the resurrection of life, and those that is lost to the resurrection of damnation.
  7.  The one, universal Church which is the Body of Christ. We affirm Christ as its head. We affirm all who are born-again as its members. We affirm the church's purpose as offering worship to God, fellowship, ministry, and instruction to itself, and evangelism and service to the world.

THE CHRISTIAN STANDARDS:

  1. ATS is a Christian educational institution in which students, administration, faculty, and staff strive to achieve a Christ-centered community: The establishment of worthy standards of life is a vital concern for the Seminary administration.
  2. ATS recognizes that the Scriptures, while not providing specific teaching regarding all social practices, advocate self-restraint in that which is harmful or offensive to others. The Seminary expects that all students should take responsibility for their own actions in line with what is appropriate behavior for a Christian minister of the Gospel. ATS has, therefore, adopted a broad policy to govern social practices: In essentials Unity, in non-essentials Liberty, in all things Charity
